The Soldier's Dance

'The Soldier's Dance' is an anonymous traditional folk melody. The tune was published in the 1790s in late 18th-century collections, notably appearing in the works of compiler/publisher John Watlen in The Celebrated Circus Tunes (1791) and James Aird's selection of fiddle tunes. The melody has circulated widely under various alternate titles including 'The Marchioness', 'Chelmsford Races', "'he Guard House', and 'Master Giles'. Arranged for accordion.
